Ontario Shutdown Update – Part 2

By | News

We’ve received many questions today regarding the Ontario Government’s additional restrictions and what it means for Hardwood Ski and Bike.

As per the enhanced province wide shutdown document released today, January 12, 2021, outdoor recreational amenities permitted to operate include cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Hardwood Ski and Bike will remain open. We urge guests to follow our “Covid Operating Protocols” and to follow Public Health Measures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests. We will continue to work with local officials and adhere to all Public Health Measures.

The full Government Document and Hardwood’s Protocols are available below.

Operations Under the Provincial COVID Shutdown

By | News, Winter

On December 21st, the Ontario Government announced a Province wide Shutdown.

While cross country skiing, snowshoeing and fatbiking are allowed under the lockdown restrictions, other aspects of our operations are not. The Hardwood Management team, in accordance with provincial directives, have created this document for clarity:

Winter COVID Shutdown Operations

Please continue to be patient as we ensure operations moving forward comply with all current regulations. The volume of emails and calls has been unprecedented, and we are answering/returning them as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to seeing you all safely out on the trails.

COVID Procedures & Contract Tracing

By | News

Today the second version of our Winter COVID Operation Procedure document was published. You can always find the most recent version of this document in the top menu under “COVID Operations” and also on our policies page.

As part of our Covid operating procedures you will be required to stop at the ticket booth each time you ski for contact tracing and ticket purchase/validation. To drastically reduce your wait time, you can pre-screen yourself before you arrive with the Hardwood Canatrace app. Either save a screenshot, or print out the confirmation page and bring with you to present at the ticket booth. Remember that the pre-screening must be done the same day as your trip to Hardwood.

The button below can be found in many areas on the site, and used as a quick link to pre-screen yourself.

Stay safe, and we hope to see you out on the trails soon!

PLEASE COMPLETE COVID SCREENING
