Trail Conditions

March 30, 2018

Jacob has been out in the Piston Bully 400 this morning to groom Torino in order to give the die hard skiers a trail to enjoy.  Adult ski trail tickets will be $15 and all others will be $10. We nearing the end of the season which means the trails are getting thin.  Torino is hardpacked with some icy patches where you may want to remove your skis.   Skiing today is not recommended for novice skiers .The classic tracks are not consistent so be prepared to classic in the open lane.  Rock skis are recommended and any ungroomed trails are closed.

The snowshoe trails still have snow and would be a great way to enjoy the last of the winter season.

Renovations have started in the Wax Building (Warming Hut). It will be closed to the public. We have a new warming area in a portion of the Cathouse. Fry truck is gone now, so please bring your own food.

Although our Chalet will be unusable for some time due to the fire, our trails are still fabulous, and we are open for skiing/snowshoeing. Ski trail passes will be $20 tax in for adults, $15 for seniors/students, and $10 for youth. Snowshoe trail passes will be $10 tax in. It will be a throwback experience, requiring skiers to use their cars as a base lodge, but at least its something. We have turned the wax building into a warming hut, so there is a small space to escape the elements. We have moved the bag racks inside the warming hut for now. There are a couple wax benches outside the wax building, but we are recommending waxing before you arrive, especially on weekends. Rentals are currently unavailable (except for pre-purchased through programs). There are heated portable washrooms onsite. There are also some food vendors on weekends. Phase 2 of our re-opening could involve some temporary infrastructure, but we are unsure of timelines for that right now.

Thank you to our friends at Highlands Nordic and Georgian Nordic, who allowed our members to ski for free while we were closed.

The community support has been tremendous, and we will be back even stronger after all of this.

“A structure fire engulfed a portion of our Chalet early Christmas morning, leaving the entire Chalet unsafe for use for the foreseeable future. The fire marshal has concluded his initial investigation, and the cause was determined to be an accidental electrical fire.”
