SUSTAINABILITY / GREEN INITIATIVES

Hardwood Ski and Bike is dedicated to minimizing our carbon footprint and protecting the environment. We look at all aspects of our operations to see how it affects the environment and how we can improve our sustainability model and ecological awareness.

In Food Services, we have made the switch to biodegradable plates, cups, and cutlery along with offering paper bags made from recycled paper instead of plastic in all departments. We seek out retail partners with ethically sourced products. Our grooming machines use environmentally safe and fully biodegradable “Panolin” hydraulic fluid, made from vegetable oils.

Plastic zip ties have been replaced with re-usable tough ties. Our water filling station eliminates over 20,000 plastic bottles each year. Even our coffee pods are 100% compostable, no plastics.

Being a cycling destination, we are advocates for alternative methods of transportation. There is an electric vehicle charging station on site. We are fortunate to be located in such a beautiful area and want to keep it that way for generations to come.
