This 8-week program is for children ages 4-5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This program introduces the children to the fun world of skiing as well as teaches the adult how to lead their child on snow. The instructor will lead the group with games and activities (which are more fun with parent interaction). The one-hour session is broken up with a cookie and hot chocolate break. Includes a trail pass for accompanying adult.

This 8-week program is for children in grades sk – 4. Our program focuses on the basic techniques of skiing through games and drills as well as trail skiing. Kids will gain confidence on skis while making new friends and having fun. Includes full season’s Pass, a toque, cookies and Hot chocolate each session.

This 4-week program is for children ages 9-13 who are new to skiing. Both classic and skate techniques will be introduced to the skiers. Each session will be 2 hours with a cookie and hot chocolate break part way through. Package includes ticket, lesson, and rental.

This 10-week program is the natural progression from Sliders Lv 2. With enhanced skill games and drills and extended trail exploration, there is no end to the fun. Package includes a full season’s pass.

Give your students the gift of Nature while learning how to cross-country ski or discovering the fun of snowshoeing. We provide rental packages for everyone, certified instructors at a 1:15 student ratio, and a lesson followed by free time on the trails. Try our Ski in the Yard program at your own school for grades 1-3 while grade 4 and up can explore the School-specific trails at Hardwood Ski and Bike.
For every 15 students booked, a teacher can ski for free!
March Break Camp

Come out to have some fun with us during the March Break. These 2-hour sessions will be full of fun, games, skiing and even some tobogganing. Sign your child up for one or more of these sessions. Please sign up early or it may be full! (A trail pass or season pass is required)

Camp Hardwood March Break Camp: ages 5-10
Kids will enjoy a week or a day of Camp Hardwood in the snow. Regardless of experience, kids will enjoy cross country skiing, tobogganing, fort building, snowshoeing and more.
Cost: Week $239 or $338 with Ski rentals
Day $60 or $80 with Ski rental
Lunch Option: $44 or $9 per day
The Team Hardwood cross country ski racing programs are fun and competitive for athletic children born 2005 and older who are interested in learning new skills, meeting friends and who enjoy training. Previous skiing experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn about the sport is. The programs mix skiing with dryland training to help build some fitness by doing a mix of ski specific exercises, games, outdoor adventure activities and fun competitions. For students in high school and older, the program offers the opportunity to improve ski technique and fitness and participate in races at high school, in the region or across the province.

Starting on the hour between 9am and 3pm, every Saturday & Sunday and holidays, for ages 18 and up (10-15 yrs must be accompanied by an adult)
Classic: Learn the basics of the traditional cross country style so you can enjoy the trails and being active in the winter.
Skate: Enjoy a 45 minute introduction to this great winter activity. You will learn the basics to get you moving down the trails.

Family Classic Lesson

This lesson is semi private and available at 10am or 12pm Saturdays and Sundays. The instructors will guide you through basic ski techniques and show you how to encourage and help your children.

Ski Better Clinic

Don’t you want to ski better? Do you want go faster? We offer two hour group clinics to improve your skiing technique. These clinics are for anyone over the age of 16 and are instructed by our CANSI trained staff. Classic Clinics will improve upon your diagonal stride, step turning, one step double pole, and other polling techniques. While Skate clinics will focus on proper weight transfer and poling techniques.

This clinic is open to all adult and master skiers who are interested in
learning more about cross country ski racing and loppet racing.
There will be instruction on training, technique, race planning, mental
skills and waxing.
The clinic will be coached by Maureen Bretz, a seasoned loppet participant and CANSI member. Maureen has extensive experience in
coaching adults and Masters.
This is not a learn to ski clinic and is designed for skiers who have
experience skiing and/or racing who would like to improve their
skills in order to reach their race or loppet potential.
