Trail Tots




This 8-week program is for children ages 4-5. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This program introduces the children to the fun world of skiing as well as teaches the adult how to lead their child on snow. The instructor will lead the group with games and activities (which are more fun with parent interaction). The one-hour session is broken up with a cookie and hot chocolate break. This program begins the weekend of January 6/7, 2018.

Kickers and

This 8-week program is for children in grades sk – 4. Our program focuses on the basic techniques of skiing through games and drills as well as trail skiing.

Choose from one of sessions:

Saturday 10am-12pm or 1:30pm-3:30pm    or
Sunday 10am-12pm  or 1:30pm-3:30pm

Program begins January 6/7 2018

Lil’ Kickers Lv 1 and 2 = Classic only

Fast Trax




This 4-week program is for children ages 9-13 who are new to skiing. Both classic and skate techniques will be introduced to the skiers. Each session will be 2 hours with a cookie and hot chocolate break part way through. Package includes ticket, lesson, and rental.

Trail Shredders




This 10-week program is the natural progression from Sliders Lv 2. The program begins December 9/10 . Package includes a full season’s pass and hat.

This year we are offering 2 streams to our Biathlon program.

RACING BEARS – Returning Bears are invited to try our racing program.  The year’s training will be working towards an end of season race.  Ages 10-14 only.

Saturdays 10am-12pm Oct 14-Nov18  and Jan 6-Feb 24

REC BEARS – For the bears who are out for some fun and a challenge, we welcome you to join us for our recreational program.  You will work on your marksmanship as well as your skiing skills.

14 years and up

Biathlon is a fun way to combine shooting and skiing.  Our new team will focus on skill development and attend provincial races in this start up year.  Be part of a fun dynamic team.

School Groups



Give your students the gift of Nature while learning how to cross-country ski or discovering the fun of snowshoeing. We provide rental packages for everyone, certified instructors at a 1:15 student ratio, and a lesson followed by free time on the trails. Try our Ski in the Yard program at your own school for grades 1-3 while grade 4 and up can explore the School specific trails at Hardwood Ski and Bike.

For every 15 students booked, a teacher can ski for free!

March Break Camp

    (Starting at $35)



Ages 5-10

Come out to have some fun with us during the March Break. These 2-hour sessions will be full of fun, games, skiing and even some tobogganing. Sign your child up for one or more of these sessions. Please sign up early or it may be full!(A trail pass or season pass is required)

Clinic Only – $35 or $90 for all 3 days – With Trail Pass & Rental $55 or $150 for all 3

Camp Hardwood March Break Camp: ages 5-10

Kids will enjoy a week or a day of Camp Hardwood in the snow.  Regardless of experience, kids will enjoy cross country skiing, tobogganing, fort building, snowshoeing and more.

Cost: Week $239  or $338 with Ski rentals

Day $60  or $80 with Ski rental

Lunch Option: $44 or $9 per day

Team Hardwood



The Team Hardwood cross country ski racing programs are fun and competitive for athletic children born 2005 and older who are interested in learning new skills, meeting friends and who enjoy training. Previous skiing experience is not necessary, but a willingness to learn about the sport is. The programs mix skiing with dryland training to help build some fitness by doing a mix of ski specific exercises, games, outdoor adventure activities and fun competitions. For students in high school and older, the program offers the opportunity to improve ski technique and fitness and participate in races at high school, in the region or across the province.

Intro Clinics

Starting on the hour between 9am and 3pm, every Saturday & Sunday and holidays, for ages 18 and up (10-17 yrs must be accompanied by an adult)

Classic: Learn the basics of the traditional cross country style so you can enjoy the trails.

Due to the December 25th Fire, we are not currently able to offer the Full Intro Package. Therefore we are offering:

Group Classic Intro Lesson every Saturday and Sunday at 11am  $10

We DO NOT currently have rentals available.

Family Lesson

This lesson is  semi private and available at 10am or 12pm Saturdays and Sundays.  The instructors will guide you through basic ski techniques and show you how to encourage and help your children.

Currently unavailable due to December 25th Fire.  Group lesson available for $85 (3 people or more – does not include trail pass or rentals)

Ski Better

Don’t you want to ski better? We offer two hour group clinics to improve your skiing technique. These clinics are for anyone over the age of 16 and are instructed by our trained staff. Classic Clinics will improve upon your diagonal stride, step turning, one step double pole, and other polling techniques. While Skate clinics will focus on proper weight transfer and poling techniques.

Skate:   Sunday, Jan 28th 10am-12pm  or  Saturday, Feb 24th 1pm-3pm

Classic: Saturday, Jan 13th 1pm-3pm or Sunday, Feb 11th 10am-12pm

This 8-week program is designed for skiers or athletes wanting to increase their efficiency and fitness out on the snow. The program will provide instruction for all skiing techniques as well as supplementary topics related to skiing. The program is offered to skiers of all levels.  20% off of a daily rental fee if rentals are required.

Hardwood Ski and Bike is situated in the picturesque forests of Oro-Medonte, which makes it the ideal location to host a corporate outing. Cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and orienteering will encourage teamwork and communication which are skills that can be transferred back to the workplace.

Adult learn to race

Adult Learn toRace-Learn toLoppet clinic

($219 + HST includes trail pass and lunch / $190 + HST for members and season pass holders includes lunch)



This clinic is open to all adult and master skiers who are interested in
learning more about cross country ski racing and loppet racing.

There will be instruction on training, technique, race planning, mental
skills and waxing.

The clinic will be coached by 4 time Olympic coach Jack Sasseville. Jack
has been coaching for over 40 years and has extensive experience in
coaching adults and Masters.

This is not a learn to ski clinic and is designed for skiers who have
some experience in skiing and/or racing who would like to improve their
skills in order to do better in loppets and races.
