This five week learn-to-mountain bike program covers a variety of skills that will focus on FUNdamentals. Through activities and games, Radical Riders will learn riding techniques such as climbing, descending, obstacles, braking, gearing, and how to properly adjust their bike to fit themselves.

Radical Riders teens are for young teens with an interest in becoming more skilled on the trails. With a focus on obstacles, corners, and singletrack riding this course will help teens develop the skills to be a more confident rider.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURES CAMP 2019 $235 (ages 5-10) – Early bird pricing of $215 until May 1st.
MOUNTAIN BIKE CAMP 2019 $285 (6-13 years of age) – Early bird pricing of $270 until May 1st.
Camp Hardwood provides an exciting day camp experience. Choose from our Specialized Mountain Bike Camp or the Outdoor Adventures Camp. We offer camp in weekly sessions starting July 2nd and ending August 24th. Theme days, camp games, and lots of outdoor adventures add to the memorable summer experience at Camp Hardwood. HIGH SKILLS July 15th will be a week for kids and young teens with intermediate mountain bike experience. Come for some high level coaching, guided rides with some on Ontario’s top riders, and a week of sharing the trails with athletes here training for the National Championship race the following weekend. Camp Hardwood employs senior high school and college/university students who possess a strong background in riding, leadership and working with children. The Staff are ready to lead the campers through lots of fun, learning and adventures.

To provide an enriching environment that cultivates excellence in skills, performance, and attitude through a tradition of teamwork, commitment, and humility. Our ultimate goal at Hardwood Next Wave is to develop life-long cycling ambassadors, from enthusiasts to World Cup athletes, where everyone can experience the values and joy cycling can foster.
Try one of our clinics to improve your mountain bike skills. Lead by instructors with years of experience. Clinics are offered Saturday or Sunday mornings at 10 am. A trail pass is included in the cost of the clinic. 3-6 participants/clinic.
Ride Better Level 1 10am-12pm
Learn the basics if you are new to single track but comfortable on a bike. Our instructors will help you gain confidence and get you rolling into this fun sport :

Ride faster, bigger, better. This 2-hour clinic is for riders who have experience mountain biking but want to increase their skill and confidence.

Beginner Lessons: Getting started Individuals and groups can sign up for private lessons with a trained instructor. Each lesson is 1 hour and can be booked between 10:00am and 3:00pm. All lessons must be booked three days in advance over the phone, and a trail pass must be purchased.

Intermediate Skill Session: Go Faster Individuals and groups can sign up for a 1.5 hour skill session with one of our trained instructors. You will get a skill focused session with open ground and on trail skill development. Conquer the trails.

Hardwood Ski and Bike invites women to our Ultimate Women’s Clinics. These clinics offer instruction and skill development for beginner and intermediate recreational riders. Our instructors will help you conquer the trails, regardless of your experience. Enjoy a healthy snack to keep you fueled up. Come with friends or make new ones.

This 2 hour clinic is for beginner and intermediate riders looking to get a leg up (and over) on the season. Work through the series course with Rob Holmgren- cyclocross coach for Team Hardwood Next Wave.

NCCP Let’s Ride Intro to Community Coaching
The Community Initiation Coaching Course is a National Coaching Certified Program (NCCP) for coaches who will primarily work with novice pre-competitive cyclists at the community level. The focus is on FUNdamentals, Learn to Train, and Train to Train development stages of the Long Term Athlete Development model (LTAD). This course is geared towards volunteers, parents, recreational program administrators and counselors.
The course will be a combination of the “Let’s Ride” Coaching development (5H) and a Basic Cycling Skills (8H) to combine good coaching practices and an understanding on delivery and analysis of basic cycling skills
You will require riding experience to enroll in this course.

Hardwood Ski and Bike is situated in the picturesque forests of the picturesque forests of Oro-Medonte which makes it the ideal location to host a corporate outing.
