Moonlight Odyssey Trail Running Series
The Moonlight Odyssey is a unique and fun challenge for trail runners of any ability level as they tackle the trails of Hardwood by the light of their headlamps. The thrill and excitement of running through the woods at night with all your senses heightened as the adrenaline pumps through your body is un-paralleled.

Racer Info
Course and Site details:
- There will be a secure place to drop bags and keys before the race.
- Washrooms, and indoor seating area is on site
- Food will be available for purchase before and after the event in addition to the standard post race food table.
- Free Parking, close to the Start/Finish
- No dogs allowed on trails, dogs must be leashed in Start/Finish area
- The Start and Finish area will be lit by large lights throughout the night
- Spectators are very welcome to enjoy the music and bonfires all night
- Races start on wide grassy trail to allow racers to space out before a combination of tight and twisty single track with roots and rocks. There are several sections where the trail will widen for passing. The final 100m or more will be on wide, flat and well lit trail.
- There is a time cut off for the 12km event, if you are not starting your second lap before 1h 10min we will place you into the 6km event and ask you not to head out for the second lap.
- The Course will be marked by mid day Thursday the week of the event. A Trail Pass to pre run the course is $8.00 +tax
Kits and Swag:
- Kit pickup starts at 5pm in the evening of the race in the Hardwood Chalet.
- The first 50 registrants will receive a limited edition Technical Race Shirt from Louis Garneau
- Prizes and medals will go to the top 3 finishers of the following age categories:
19 and Under, 20 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 -59, 60 +

Participant safety:
- For all runners’ safety we ask that all participants use a headlamp while racing.
- We also ask that devices requiring headphones are not used while racing
- There will be an aid station at the midway point of the 6km and 12km courses.
- There will be a lead and sweep MTB rider for all courses
